How do I plan my first week?

Go to My plan, add 4–5 dinners with the + in each slot, then press Build shopping list. Your first plan usually takes about 5 minutes, and you don't need to fill every slot right away.

How does the shopping list get built?

When you press Build shopping list, Matinn pulls every ingredient from the week's planned meals, combines quantities of the same item, converts units, and sorts everything by aisle — produce, dairy, meat and fish, and so on.

What does it cost?

The Free plan is free forever and includes the weekly planner, the whole community recipe library, and one shopping list. Premium adds AI planning, kitchen inventory and more, and Family covers up to 6 people on one subscription. See Account settings → Subscription for details.

Can my household share a plan?

Yes. Create a household group under Account settings → Household and invite your family by link or email. Everyone who joins shares the same weekly plan and shopping lists, while keeping their own saved recipes and preferences.

Are the recipes in Icelandic?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Matinn is bilingual by design — the whole community recipe library is available in both Icelandic and English, and you can switch languages anytime without losing anything from your plan.
