How the shopping list builds itself
Press Build shopping list on any plan and Matinn turns the week's meals into one list. Three things happen on the way.
Quantities are combined
If Tuesday needs 200 g of spinach and Friday needs 300 g, the list shows 500 g once. Units are converted where it makes sense (3 × 250 ml becomes 750 ml), and servings you've scaled in a recipe carry through.
Aisles are sorted
Items are grouped the way stores are laid out — produce, dairy, meat & fish, dry goods, frozen, household. Check things off as you go; the list is shared, so two people can split aisles and watch each other's progress live.
Your kitchen is subtracted
With kitchen inventory (Premium), items you already have are tagged "in your kitchen" instead of cluttering the list. Mark staples like oil, salt or rice once — Matinn remembers and only adds them back when a recipe needs more than you'd usually have.
Tip: anything extra — batteries, birthday candles — can be typed straight onto the list. It keeps its place in the right aisle.
